It sums up the damaging dynamic of centralizing things to remove local stakeholders and local knowledge. Elites in D.C., for example, have been told since their youths that they're special, smarter than everyone else. They believe it, and as energetic members of some senate member's staff, they make names for themselves "fixing" things. Vulgar pride! What's missing is the fact that, no matter how smart a person is, the sheer volume of information and exigencies that compound over so many localities is something for which only a God could account. This is why it is vulgar. This is why the U.S. is not a democracy, but a federal democratic REPUBLIC form of government. The hubris of elites has eroded outworking of the founders' vision of our government. It sickens me.

Also, Rubin may not be a powerhouse like other guests are, but hes been able to sit down with Elder and Sowell. Sowell almost never does interviews. So the fact that Rubin was able to interview one of the greats is no small feat and a testament to his ability as an interviewer. He also toured with Peterson. Again, no small feat. Dave's not a heavy hitter in his own right, but give credit where credit is due. Some of the best interviews I've seen have been on his show. Hes an alright guy in my book.

He doesn’t really debate or speak to people from the other side.. Dave is very easily dismantled by basic logic and facts when someone pushes back, as seen when he was on rogan. he now doesn’t put himself in these compromising situations which is good strategy by him in truth. He is a bonafide grifter and this has been proven by many people that are and were in his life. He a pure opportunist and is riding the wave of the Shapiro types, who is very authentic and you can feel that he believes everything he says. Dave is marketing himself and people are gullible enough to buy this tall tale of “leftist turns conservative” …Basic human nature and psychology which I’ve studied at length supports that this type of miraculous and quick transformation is not really possible. It’s all a marking ploy and its working.

It was better when Ben Shapiro debated him, and unlike the Dinesh debate, Cenk couldn't count on the audience support bolstering his side. When he realized the audience wouldn't clap for every one of his poorly thought out arguments and barely understood ideas, he started berating the audience, because for Cenk if you're not supporting him 110% all the time, you're the ENEMY. That's why there hasn't been a single split with people who used to work at TYT that's been amicable: it's always been the most acrimonious divorces, and of course TYT never accept that they're probably at fault.

Based on their history, beliefs, controvery, etc. So the questions to someone with more fringe to radical beliefs are going to be different than questions to someone who is closer to the center.* *Its not merely due to which side of the Political Spectrum one is on, although that will undoubtedly influence the conversation to a point.* *People on the same side Politically can have dramatically different lines of questioning. For instance, Alex Jones would receive dramatically different questions than Charlie Kirk, or Ben Shapiro would. Likewise, the questions and type of conversation that Cenk recieved is dramatically different than a Sam Seder or Kyle Kulinsky would recieve.* *I use Alex Jones & Cenk for comparison because they have some obvious similaritys and they are considered more fringe on their respective sides. But I have to point out that they are different in the fact that Alex is proven Right about the vast Majority of what he says, whereas its the opposite for Cenk.* *It also has alot to do with the personality of the person being interviewed. Cenk is aggressive, abrasive, boisterous and confrontational whereas Dave Rubin is passive, calm, collected and never ever raises his voice.* *So that would be my take on it.* 👍🏽

That’s the thing about the right, most of us (there are exceptions as with everything) respect other’s political views. Even if we disagree completely all we want are civil conversations because that’s what produces growth. There’s nothing wrong with having mixed or nuanced views. I was raised in a Democratic household and have gravitated to the right probably 6-7 years ago. Not because my views changed drastically, but the left has gone so far left anyone right of Bernie is labeled a Nazi, fascist, or a racist. It’s insane. Just don’t let anyone from either side pressure you into compromising your morals or views.

Not a bad idea. I used to watch the Young Turks as part of my “get news & listen to opinions from multiple sources, in an attempt to get a well rounded & informed take on things,” but have kinda dropped them from that list in the past few years. I don’t hate on Cenk, but I understand why he rubs people the wrong way. Hearing the story about thr cops being called during their basketball games is hilarious. I was just thinking about how Cenk wouldn’t have been able to sit on this panel, and have a rational, calm conversation. He’s over the top with his emotions, and it would likely have turned into an ugly screaming match. Looking back at the Alex Jones/Young Turks blowup @ the RNC is a better reflection of how he conducts himself, and it’s not conducive to problem solving for the issues we have in US politics.
