Dave Rucki- The Contortionist "Geocentric Confusion" Drum Cover

Dave Rucki, 19 years old, from Jackson, NJ. Like my facebook page for updates: / daveruckidrums . This band is other-worldly incredible, and has become one of my favorite bands. "Intrinsic" is their best work to date, check it out! This was the first song that really drew me in, and it really kicked my ass the first few attempts at learning it. Joey Baca's drumming is mind-blowing on this album, definitely a big influence on me!
NOTES: That lower drum stick on the wall behind me is Joey Baca's stick I got signed by him at Summer Slaughter a few weeks ago!
I did miss a few little hits and flams, here and there, but I filled those spots with parts I thought were fun and felt good to me, since I like to improv on my covers.
I did sort of model my new set up after Joey Baca's, and it is indeed very comfortable for me and allows me to really lay into that ride!

I was thinkin the same thing just now... im very interested in the way joey baca uses the kit... and if you have noticed, he also uses a kit that extremely genuine in its set up. I couldnt play with only one rack tom but i like his general set up..... oh and its white which is fuckin awesome
