The fact that those 4 hi-hat hits set up pretty much everything that is going to happen for the next two minutes and the listener doesn't even realize until almost a full minute later is amazing. Really good drum writing.

Seeing as how its all art, id say that Garska and Baca create art that is equal in weight and depth, but that appeals to people in different ways. There is no competition between them, thats for sure. This most recent contortionist album is as much a work of art as the newest AAL.

This is why I love drum videos. Sometimes the music blends together so well that when you listen to a studio recording you aren't able to fully appreciate the effort of each instrument because you can't hear or comprehend everything that's happening (at least sometimes I can't) until you see the live performance.....Great skill and timing, and I LOVE the ghost notes on the snare....

16 HHX ozone, 8 AA china splash on top, 14 HH medium hats, 18 legacy crash (?), the stack im pretty sure consists of a aax 12 max splash (whatever the ones that are based off ozones are called) with a 14 aax china natural, 22 aax omni, and im assuming either another legacy crash/artisan. i have no idea what the china is.
