My blue marlin boated on 30# line went 415#, no need to kill ! Most mounts these days can be made using good photos and many measurements . A sailfish or marlin won’t be “stuffed”, but will be a matching dimension, weight and length ! A 3 and a half hour fight, while orca were swimming about 150 yards away, 15 miles south of Cabo San Lucas, where the Pacific meets the sea of Cortez !

@jerrymoffo2664 ай бұрын
Yes, he didn’t handle the fish well if he were to release it but I don’t think that was ever his intention. In all likelihood, the fish wouldn’t have likely survived such a long fight, given the light equipment and no net. Water would have had to been in the low 60s for even that to have been possible. Hard to watch but I’m not going to judge that man! 51” on light tackle with a lure he made himself!

I never fish with a net and always fishing pike. I grab them out with my bare hands. This fish was killed due to improper fish handling, but by ripping his head backwards, not supporting the fish, playing him too long, and setting the fish on a hot road.
@steveverdick26324 ай бұрын
@@MikeYurbasovich I assume you have been fishing for awhile and know how to handle fish. Musky are the gold standard of fishing. They're hard to catch, aren't in huge schools and any true fishermen would do what they could to treat that fish with respect. This was an older gentleman who wasn't used to catching such a great fish. He was probably fishing for cat or panfish.
