Dave's Reaction: Avenged Sevenfold - Hail To The King

Hi there friends! This song was suggested by Lloyd Howell!
I think Dave didn't know anything really about the sound of Avenged Sevenfold before reacting to them, so he's [pleasantly] surprised that their sound is very classic heavy metal and not the thrashy metal he thought their name hinted at.
That all being said, he really thinks the guitarist and the vocalist stand out in this one. He wasn't a fan of the clicking sound on the bass drum though.

Some sources say that this album is a shout out to Metallica, GNR, Black Sabbath, and all of their biggest influences growing up. If you wanna hear original Avenged Sevenfold check out Unholy Confessions Music Video. Way different sound, I think you'll like it.

I missed Avenged Sevenfold's rise in popularity because I wasn't into their kind of music at that age. Now they're totally my jam. not a fan of this but i just dont groove with metal.....but..... does anyone know what band had a double album cover which depicted like some medieval slaughter carried out by a skeleton army.i know it was metal cos it was my brothers albumand he was a metal head.

It's funny Dave mentions Metallica. There's a song on this album called "This Means War" and it is a complete ripoff of "Sad But True" by Metallica.
