Ugh, I love this game!!! It just kept unfolding and becoming more and more complex than I was expecting at the start and I absolutely love it. I feel like I've actually learned a little about fish as well, just from playing the game. 😂😅

I watched someone stream this months ago. Overall it seemed ok, it wasn't too stressful and the streamer could still interact with chat as normal. One thing that a few of us noticed, besides the toxic characters you pointed out, was the casual use of body shaming towards Dave. You'd be interacting with some NPC for a quest then suddenly there's a jibe about his weight/size... WTF?

On a different topic, has anyone pitched Crabsouls (Another Crab's Treasure) to you? It's an adorable little Soulslike that includes a mind-blowing amount of accessibility options -- I actually bought it full price relatively soon after release, which I almost never do, just to appreciate with my $$s -- and is a cheerful exploration of wealth inequality, the housing crisis, and oceanic pollution. That mind-boggling accessibility array also means it's something I don't think actually significantly existed before, a trainer Soulslike. I made exactly two tweaks (combat slowdown and increased shell durability) and consequently got to a nice place where bosses take like a half dozen real attempts* before they click and I win, which I think sounds closer to the intended play than the "Well, I'm out" I more commonly have in Soulslikes after brick-walling quite soon on. (I am fascinated by Lies of P and it would stomp me into the ground.) Anyway, it's genuinely adorable, entry-friendly, deals with topics you often discuss, and ocean-themed, so I got reminded of it and figured it was worth mentioning in case nobody else had. * We don't talk about the inevitable boss attempts where you just do everything wrong and die embarrassingly fast. Everyone knows those don't count.

Weak or bad writing absolutely kills a game for me. I recently returned to Skyrim, but had to put it down because everything beyond the most minor minute tech quest immediately falls apart.
