At 13 years old I was attacked by three pitbulls in Mexico. That's an experience I will NEVER forget & have scars all over my body as a reminder! 20 years later I get engaged & my fiance who is my husband now tried talking to me about a big dog for the house. My answer was always reminding him about my dog attack. After being harassed about a dog I decided to surprise him by adopting a Pug thinking it would make him forget about a big dog! After some time we realised he wasnt guard dog material or a good running partner for me so a year later I surprised him again adopted Boston terrier because to me it looked like a smaller version of a pitbull which i could deal with. Well that didn't stop the nagging over a big dog like a pit bull type dog to guard the house! After showing me pics of American Bully's for months and me getting hysterical over how mean and muscular almost to the point of being a nuclear defect to me american bullys looked i told my husband if he brought that dog home i would leave! Didn't work! When we got married his frat brother who breeds American bully's gave us a puppy as a wedding gift to force me to take him! I refused to even play with him for a few weeks because i knew he was going to get huge and i was so scared what that would be like. But this dork grew on me and he is the best alarm system and babysitter our family can have! I did not allow my bully to have his ears snipped so he doesn't look like most bullys he looks like a loving bear! Regardless of what the haters say my American Bully Chico helped me get over being so freaked out on big dogs and fits in perfect with the rest of the pack! I Love American Bully's!

I think Dave is right the earlier Razor's Edge Dogs like "Throwing Knuckles" weren't bad looking show dogs according to UKC and Am Staff type standards, but I think with all things in life ego and money grabs a hold and cause people to do things they otherwise wouldn't do, and it's obvious over type that the bullier dogs were being outcrossed with other larger bulldog "molasser" type breeds and that's the reason respectable registries no longer allowed these hybrid type dogs to be registered

The first 50 American Staffordshire Terriers registered with the AKC where UKC registered American Pitbull Terriers. The AKC insisted on a name change however. Same basic Dog with different registered organizations. The Modern XL American Bullys are stunning Dogs.

Bulky comes from Ricky Henderson a well known dog fighting handler. It’s breed them to have shorter bacc legs and wide bodies in late 80’s out of Louisiana, thank mike from south Dallas. Razor Edge didn’t get noticed until early 2000 before that it was gator and Boudro with boudro being the main breed for bully
