This is the substances he used trough out his career. Im just a lawstudent who was assigned to read and analyse the USADA doping report. I have done my research. With some respect, I have to call you a little naive if you think he only used EPO.(not stating that you have said that) I agree that he´s not only good because of the chemical substances he used trough out his career, but that there obviously extreme amount of training. But it still makes him a rat, a psychopath and a cheater. I think I leave at that.

Hi, Of course, Big ''Fat'' Jan was out of shape as usual. The only time he looked completely fit and able to compete against ''Robocop'' for the final victory at the Tour was that year of 2003.This campaign was the tightest and most disputed in recent years since the memorable 89 edition finish at the Champs-Élysées .Clearly if seriously ''prepared'', he was virtually invincible. Simply the most gifted Cyclist of his generation. Take a look at the 47 km Gaillac- Cap decouverte 2003 time trial stage 12. A monumental masterpiece by the German rider. A perfect recital of absolute power at his finest! Just unstoppable. Armstrong lost that day by more than one minute and a half... A massive gap! Watch him pump those pedals on insane huge gears at high cadence was a holy moment of sport! He rode that day like a man possessed. Thanks EPO for those great memories.

Years later we learned that Jan never took the training as serious as Armstrong or even other europeans (who generally were slackers compared to Armstrong). No real diet plan, training based on superficial observations rather than science, and he wasn't motivated because he was paid enough money just being where he was, didn't really care to do what was needed to achieve the most. He got by in life riding and was amazingly good in natural form but got outmaneuvered by Armstrong who was physiologically inferior to Jan but because Armstrong was a madman who embraced everything he simply won.

This is something Lance is gonna have to live with and he knows it but hey, so be it. But he put in the work that it takes. He's not some lazy ass, fuck no. You gotta be obsessed with your bike to be a winner, the drugs are there just to boost so you won't fall behind the other boosters, unfortunately.

Not really. Every athlete responds differently to doping. 1 athlete will gain more than another. For me Ullrich was the bigger talent. Less work ethic though. Still Ullrich would have won in a field without doping, lance might not have given his vo2 max. I partially believe Greg Lemond when he says that when he learned about Lance vo2 max , that lance could not win a tdf legit. Partially cause i think Lance might have won 1 or 2 legit ( if the rest of the field was also clean) as lance and his team basically invented hyperfocus for 1 particular event. No one trained as specific for 1 goal at the time.

All top cyclists doped but not everyone was on the same program or took the exact same things, so the narrative that there was a "level playing field" is bullcrap. One of the biggest reasons Armstrong dominated Ullrich was that he was much more ruthless and driven, not because he was more talented. Ullrich was a friendly chap whereas Armstrong would walk over a teammates corpse to win. Winning a cycling race probably even meant more to him than his own family did.

he worked harder year round and was driven to suceed more than Ulrich which was his downfall some may say. He had superior access to the best drugs and was willing to tailor it solely with the focus of the tdf whereas other raiders were not so focussed so their drug regimen was less optimised for this one race .. what else did lance win? In any event drugs don’t affect people equally. Also some of the rest were indirect tests on eg blood markers like hermatocrits. The test just involved a fixed cap that you couldn’t go above .. less naturally gifted riders (including la who was not super elit when it came to vo2) could dope more than more naturally gifted ones before reaching the fixed cap ..
