A buddy gave me an enclosure that was of similar size/shape, and inspired a similar build. Very light. It's all a combination of individual PCBs and perfboard builds, but it has: - preamp/tone controls - modified Dynacomp - modified TS-808 - modified Shin-Ei FY-2 fuzz - modified EHX Dr. Q - EHX Pulsar - modified MXR Phase 90 - basic PT2399 delay Order is fixed, but any number of effects can be engaged at once. Because there's eight things, that's a lot to keep track of, so I used different-coloured status LEDs to help with that. Runs off external +9V power. I'm envious of having internal rechargeable supply., but NOT having it is not a great hardship. Probably cost me about $80 in parts, but a *whole* lotta labour and time.

These all-in-one pedals are great fun. I’ve been using my little old Cube Baby into a bluetooth speaker via the headphone out, into the aux socket on the speaker, and it makes a great little practice amp. What I did do was replace some of the original IRs with a Martin D28 and what was supposed to be a Fender Twin cabinet - and it became a lot more pleasant to use; I ended up with a fairly nice acoustic sound from my strat - which is good when I’m in a jam session and wish I’d brought an acoustic as well! And now I’m considering an upgrade….

18:00ish - cycling thru the amps somehow put the Tech 21 PSA I own on my mind, lol. What’s super-unique about that one as amp sims go, is you don’t press a button “here’s a Twin Reverb”, press the button again “here’s a Marshall Plexi”…although it does have defined presets you can use, but you can twist various knobs assigned to 3 different bands of amp character which gives you the ability to make your own amp, you can gradually morph from one amp sound into a different one, depending on what you have the low, mid and treble clean/distorted amp shaper knobs set as. And that’s before I’m even talking about the gain controls or the EQ. It has gain knobs for preamp, which is common, but there’s another knob for POWER SECTION distortion. Anyway, it’s one of the more fascinating amp sims out there. I’ve seen a couple of things on Temu which look like they may be clones of the PSA. Wouldn’t that open things way up, Lol.

Hey man, rolling through amp models without using a cab sim is pretty counter intuitive and I think a disservice to the pedal. Are you running the pedal directly into a mixer/interface for this demo? I think the harsh/fizziness we're hearing is because there is no cab sim after the amp model. When you had the cab sims on, everything got immediately better. You don't play a real amp without a cabinet so why demo an amp model without a cab simulation?

Well l bought one. At that price, how could l not? Pleased to say, it’s not excessively noisy per se, although as is the case with so many multi-fx, a lot of the factory presets are ridiculously “gainey” and insanely bright. All that inherent compression naturally brings up the noise floor. Fortunately, they are relatively easy to tweak and l soon found some very useable sounds in there. Well pleased!

Holy buzzsaw tones

This is really terrible: just bought one, got amazing tones and in the first use in a rehearsal I learned it has a huge lag to change presets (impossible to use 2 tones in the same song, unless you change it in pauses of your playing). I'm really really sad about this latency problem.

Man..that is kind of a bad thing..I had never used it that way..Wonder if there is anyway you could update the unit or something..just trying to help ya..Sorry Man

@@Dave6SS I have a new unit, system updated. When you change between a high gain preset and the same preset with a delay (for a solo session), it breaks the last tone with a silence before loading the next.
