If J.Park wants to have a career in ONLY FANS, it would be his decision, but since he is still a Korean artist, whose career depends on his music, not his other performances, I highly doubt the comunity is ready to accept this. And it has nothing to do with him being a free spirit. What does that even mean - everything is allowed?? I don't think so. Bringing that to Kpop and even the western music industry is waay off, no matter how hard someone will try to convince you it is cool, bold or innovative. For an artist, it is a lame attempt to shock, go overboard and stay in focus any way possible.

@@LilybetMells Exactly how I feel. Kpop is sadly becoming more Westernized. I rarely listen to Western music, esp American rap. American rap is way too explicit & misogynistic for me. But as you say, it sells. An artist's values & character are very important to me in whether I support them or not (investing my $, time streaming & my heart). I no longer pre-order albums. I now need to know lyrics first. I am also very careful to not objectify artists myself.
