I remember all the stories about V's poor skin condition and how his skin reacts in hot or cold weather. But look where he is now, he had to pass a very thorough medical exam and chose one of the toughest places for 18 months. Obviously, he knew he would be outside in cold winter, train vigorously, then in summer cope with high temperatures , not being able to shower immediately etc. If he ever had such horrid problems, he took care of it. As another comment said, he spent hours on stage, singing, dancing heavily, being sweaty and wet, enjoyed his time on the beach in the sun, went snowboarding and much more. Also let's not mistake a skin condition for autoimune diseases. The second ones affect some vital organs heavily, and V is obviously a very healthy young man.

Yes it is known that V does have an autoimmune response that he can developed bad burning rash in his skin if he is body gets too hot. However… all the guys go through a physical examination that is actually very thorough and it was determined that he would be able to handle and be able to perform his duties . If you have read your on all ten various reasons why people have disqualified from military service and referred to social service work you can see it is not taken lightly as to what they can and can not let go through . Keep in mind he chose to go into a level of service that he felt he can tolerate . Have faith in them and their ability to make good decisions for themselves .

BigHit was the one and only firm, who has a in-house psychology! You can read about it around 2019 or so, that at one day a week there is a psychologist who helped when needed! And yes Dave, as you said, Tae-hyung new all about it before he had chosen to go to the Special Sqad, they all get a medical check in the first days of enlisting, some people stop treating the guys like children, they are more mature thanks to their hard experiences during their career!

V chose the special services well aware of his condition. He is a grown man with the ability to make decisions for himself. Who is anyone to doubt his right to make that decision. Many enter with ailments that can be controlled. Jin has a complicated health issue with his hypermobility in his joints making his hands high risk of dislocating joints etc but no one created a fuss about him. He also had laser eye surgery which made him eligible for being excluded from the gas challenge but he chose to go in to be an example to the younger men in his group and like Jin if it was expected to harm V’s skin I am sure he would have been given the opportunity to chose to do it or not. Like Jin though V would have chosen to be an example to the younger men in his group. You are talking about grown men able to make their own decisions and the gas challenge is such that if you have a bona fide reason for it to be detrimental to your health you can be excluded from it. V like all his members will lead by example as they have always in BTS and how they will in their return in 2025 and those that doubt that tremendous return are living in cuckoo land.

They might already have a therapist on site. It's not our business what they have in house. Why do you care, no one wants anyone to know they are seeing a therapist TBH. There is still a stigma on talking about mental health. They deserve their privacy.

Actually Jin mentioned getting help when he went through his burn out. BTS are not afraid in letting people know about their mental health issues such as depression and anxiety and have actually brought out many songs related to these issues to give awareness to the problems and to prevent stigma.

If they tell us fine, but what he was implying or it seemed to me, is it's our RIGHT to know if they have a mental health advocate onsite. It's not. People don't always like to talk about it. BTS is very open about most things.

Think V has what I have, it's hives that are very itchy. My doctor said that my body is not adjusting fast enough to temperature changes which creates hives. I usually get hives in water yes, you heard that right. Sometimes the hives will bunch together to make a huge bump. When people don't know what I have they freak out and ask,"WHAT IS THAT!!!" They are very itchy and the more you scratch the hives the pitcher they get.

I'm worried about all Artists, singers, dancers, and actors who are sent to any military, mainly not even by their own will. They are entertainers, not to be fighters, entertainers are already serving the public anyways w their God-given talents, I've said this strongly, over, and over again, I personally don't think every man or woman are built or created for battle. In America on the streets, a reporter stopped people on the streets asking people if we think everyone should be drafted, my uncle was in the papers w his answer, he did not think every person meaning male or female are equipped to be in the Military, I feel the same but I don't care of training, training still don't make that person equipped for it meaning ready nor prepared for it. I was a criminal justice major, and I walked w some students who studied even police science, and some just are not the true material. I think the military is not what makes a man. The military is for people ready who have the mindset for this type of life. And as I said, an entertainer is already doing what God gave them to do, and that is entertain people, to make people smile, feel happy, or help them go through a tough time in life. They're not here on earth to take a life, but to SAVE a LIFE. Now, that's my take one more time on any entertainer being put or forced into the military. I will always fight against putting people in the military because it's what you want them to. What about what they really want to do. Or what God's purpose for them to do hiw about that.❤🇺🇲I'm speaking for all nations. I will stand against it. Now, if cilivians are needed, I'm sure if need be civilian have joined together to fight, but don't ever force or demand your people to do what's against their will, it's way too many people who will join the militaries, there really are. Some do it for a living and enjoy it.

You are right they are entertainers but what you forget is that they are South Korean citizens first! They are brought up from early childhood knowing this is expected of them and why? North Korea and South Korea are technically at war. North Korea has stated there will be no more talks regarding unification. They have nuclear capability and 1,200,000million active soldiers and 600,000 in reserve, South Korea has 550,000 active soldiers and because of Mandatory enlistment 3,000,000 in reserve. Without Mandatory enlistment South Korea would be openly at a disadvantage in a war, even though their military is superior, numbers count. If war starts South Korea will need every able man to defend itself so it is obviously preferable that they have been trained to do so. They live daily with a potential threat of war but you say entertainers should be exempt because it’s not their job. In times of war and possible death to you families and losing control of your country to a vicious regime what do you think these entertainers would prefer - sit back and let those born to be soldiers fight and watch this happen or have the ability to fight along with them to protect their families and country! Yes enlistment is wrong but to some countries in the world they do it out of necessity to be able to protect themselves. If you live in a country that does not have this fear have you the right to complain. Our boys enlisted, yes because it’s mandatory and secondly because they see it the right thing to do as South Korean citizens. During WW2 many top Hollywood and British stars fought along ordinary people to prevent their country be overtaken by mad men. No one was exempt it is the way of life with threat of war and war. If North Korea waged war and overtakes South Korea, there will be no more K Pop or K Drama as even watching it in North Korea can mean 10yrs to life in a labour camp and possibly death and your whole family is tainted by it and monitored. Our boys will be well trained and will survive and grow from the experience and as entertainers no they are not initially geared for this life but neither are the thousands of students, office and shop workers who enlist monthly!

It is nobody's job except professional soldiers. But smaller countries who are at threats of war or have had it in recent history keep their military service mandatory. To have a ready trained force of their own and count on them. Yes, not everyone is cut out to be a soldier, but in need every little bit counts. And I think we look at it tragicly, while they accept it as a patriotic duty.

If V does do the gas chamber maybe they have extra medical staff there to help just in case. Hopefully whatever happens he will be well and safe. I think if someone is let on the military base and just happen to take a picture of the BTS boys it is fine, unless they jump them or something but just taking a picture will be fine. I doubt anyone really could get close with how many soldiers and security guards are there.

Honestly, I feel it would be hard to have a therapist in house due to ethical issues. I would think, given some of the less than ethical practices of many kpop labels, a therapist might have a hard time dealing with say something like seeing a idol struggling with an ED but not being able to help them properly because the company has weight loss requirements. I feel the company and an ethical therapist would clash to the point that it probably wouldn't work out very well.

The point is that none of them have skin problems. The news about BTS's medical condition comes officially from the label, all other news is made up, no matter how many millions of times the news is repeated by the armys. Jin posted a photo on his Instagram account, showing a large wheal caused, if I remember correctly, by an insect bite, yet he took the gas test and is still beautiful. You may remember that for years millions of armys have repeated, as a certain fact, that Jin has a malformation in his fingers, which makes him incapable of using weapons and therefore of military service. And it was all a fruit of imagination (the malformation had been successfully operated on years ago). I do not remember what type of physical condition was attributed to RM that made him unfit for military service, and none of it was true. I repeat: all news regarding BTS's health, which does not officially come from the label, is invented by the armys.

Jin has Hypermobility of the joints enabling him to be what some people used to call double jointed. This affects his hands the most (we have all seen his fingers) which makes finger injuries a higher risk. We know he has had two injuries, one resulting in surgery. He has not let this effect his life s an idol and has not let it effect him in the military. He did once say his grandfather who owns a honey farm suggested once some bee therapy and he was bitten by a bee but that he had a allergic reaction and his whole hand became swollen and painful and it left a scar. Bee therapy is quite popular in natural therapy but one Jin does not recommend. He also had corrected laser eye therapy with I believe included insertions of intra ocular lenses. None of these would affect his rating re military duty. No other member has serious conditions. V has urticaria which irritates his skin but has learnt over the years to manage it and would probably go on antihistamines if it occurs during his service. We know Jimin has had issues with one of his knees and shoulders again nothing so serious to prevent him from active duty and if it plays him up in the military they have excellent health care on the bases. In fact his knee will perhaps have less demand on it then when he is dancing. RM has terrible eyesight but like many of the soldiers can either wear spectacles or contacts, again not effecting his Service. Hobi and Jungkook I have not heard of any health issues and of course Suga had shoulder reconstruction therefore not eligible for active duty.

People with certain conditions can asked to be excluded from the Gas challenge and as a matter of fact I read that laser eye surgery is one of the conditions that allows a person to exclude themselves from it but Jin still chose to do it to be an example for the younger men in his training unit. I am not sure of the other exclusions but probably conditions such as asthma etc.

He does no5 have eczema but urticaria which is hives which occur when body is overheated etc. treatment is usually antihistamines.
