Shattered Heart is one of my favorite TW songs. Dany's guitar breaks, especially after the breakdown where she just strums hard across the bass and drums is genius and compelling. The song reminds me of some 80's heart and some other groups I can't think of now. But it drives hard even in the choruses. The vibe is just awesome! Thx, Dave!

Love the driving riff coming out of the break. Really ramps the song back up again. I was a teen in the 1970s and can verify that yes, this is a classic rock sound. Thanks.

I am sure their sound will evolve over time. From Teen to Twenties to thirties, everyone changes a lot. And they are the type of people that never want to be bored. They are constantly pushing themselves to new things. They are even working on songs for a movie soundtrack right now. They have already dipped into genres from punk, to metal, to grunge, and even experimented with a country feel early on. I have a feeling these sisters are going to be a musical force for many decades to come.

I love this song. The bass sounds produced by Ale were spectacular in this performance. I think they have a bunch of different styles already and all within an album. They put out songs in acoustic, rock ballads, punk rock, rock, hard rock and some even lean towards metal. Some people have referred to them as a Swiss Army Knife of rock. I’d be a happy guy if they maintain this type of a music catalog. 🤘😎🤘👸👸👸

"Shattered Heart" is off the first album; "XXI Century Blood", much of which was written nearly 5 years ago. While still a fan favorite I doubt if it will ever be featured at future concerts, except special shows for Patreons. TW will grow and evolve but there will alwasy be favorites from each era.
@kevinthetruckdriver3533 жыл бұрын
*Factoid:* Ale has stated that she doesn't think The Warning should play *"Shattered Heart"* anymore. She thinks the band has matured past this period of their career. Except for the tunes *"XXI Century Blood", "Black Holes" & "Survive".* The rest of the songs on *"XXI Century Blood"* LP & their entire EP *"Escape The Mind"* will be left off their live set.

I love this band and like your reactions a lot. You always make really good points whether people agree or not. I am a musician as well and, knowing their musical tastes and skill, can't wait to see where they progress to. I think hearing the new album in it's entirety will tell us a lot even though the songs on it were mostly written before covid and they have been doing a lot of writing during all of that time as well.

This is such a great song but for me the one they did at the Dakota Bar is by far the best performance. You should go back to their beginning to see how far they have come since they started, I suggest any of their songs from LICEO. Then do their Tedx talks form there I leave it up to you. These girls just rock.
@oliverlaue62343 жыл бұрын
If you like progression in a band, wait for their new album TW3, it will have a lot more production (being the first major label release) and probably (I don't know, I just assume based on some remarks by the band) it will have a bit harder, more metal sound that can appeal to hard rock and metal fans. The great single Choke was just the beginning. They said there will be more energetic songs on the album. Personally, I love the classic hard rock style of XXICB and QOTMS, but I also like a band explore their potential by trying new things.

As you stated Dave. The Warning sound & writing is progressing. *Matter of fact.* Ale *(the kid of the band)* has stated she doesn't like playing songs from the XXI Century Blood album. She feels those songs were in their younger days. Mind you that album was released in 2017. She believes the band is beyond those songs. With album #3. We know two songs on it *(Choke & Martirio {a Spanish song performed live in Argentina 2018}). There are 10 other songs on the new album we haven't heard yet.

First: I think the end is everyone's favorite part of this performance. Pau's reaction was so spontaneous and witty it would have been enough to make me a fan if I didn't like the music. Secondly: if they change their music much, I hope they wait until after my death. I have waited decades to find a sound like QOTMS gave me. Imo too many people want different. If you like something, why change. QOTMS had a nostalgic feel to me musically and that's why I fell in love with them. No bands were playing the kind of music I liked anymore. Screaming and rapping has no place in my rock. Symphonic metal while interesting at first was just too clean and polished sounding for me.

I see the girls incorporating new sounds into there band and who knows down the road maybe they will add Musicians to there band at some point for concerts. Greenday is a perfect example of doing this.

If you listen to their first EP through to 21st Century Blood and then QOTMS , you can see that they are continually evolving . Whether it slows down in the future only time will tell , but i expect them to cross over into different genres of rock , punk and metal music or their unique blend of these genres .

I really like XXICB, I love many punk bands, some songs like Unmendable, Exterminated, have a punk vibe, Shattered Heart has a classic, maybe as you mention a 70s vibe, and a nice chorus! I am sure they evolved a lot since the beginning, and will further on… the new album is another milestone! Thanks for this reaction. 👍⚡️🤘

I've also thought a lot about the future The Warning has and for me, it's less about style (I agree they're already getting more complex in their compositions and instrumentation) and more about the ability to continue writing awesome melodies. When I was a huge U2 fan I thought around the time of Joshua Tree that these guys couldn't write a bad song. Thought the same about Springsteen after Tunnel of Love and Sting after Synchronicity... then of course they all go through another stretch of not finding those great hooks and the songs just kinda get well, meh. Happened to McCartney and Dylan and Paul Simon too, although the muse seemed to stay with them a long long time before it left. Maybe it's a matter of not being as hungry I don't know... they all kept making music even after it seemed to be pretty mediocre. In any case, Pau has the muse with her right now, and a lot of help from her sisters who write pretty good tunes themselves... and I'm betting they do have a lot of years ahead of them making incredible songs filling amazing albums.

There are alot of bands that after some great albums will release poorer albums and will primarily your based on their hits. There are also bands that continue to release good albums, nightwish for example. Then there are the bands that stick to a formula that got them noticed, for example Nickelback, and their are those that changed direction, for example skillet. I think that they may do a kiss style thing and do band albums then maybe also do solo projects etc as they get older to broaden their approach and I think that's a cool thing to do as long as the core band remains as well
