Dave and Tracy...I don’t know if it is only me but Canadians traveling the world outside Africa is a bit kinda Cliche. You guys have a very unique brand showcasing Africa to the World. With your affectionate comedic charm you should consolidate your brand’s unique early mover advantage in Africa, then use that as a platform to expand to the rest of the world. I do Strategy for corporates so this is kinda my type of advice. If it does not make sense then blame it on the Vodka I have been sipping for the last two hours 🤪🤪🤪!!

I had to come back to your comment. I was thinking about. And I do agree with the brand being very much Africa/Kenya. That built the channel. However, I think there is more to it than meets the eye. My guess is that the Manis were provided with acvomidation in Kenya by Dave’s work. And that acvomidation was not 30.000 sh a month.. Secondly, traveling all of Africa (as I think was originally intended) had limitations by work and, at a point, COVID. Thirdly, there is a limit to how long you can keep on showcasing Kenyan safari parks and hotels in the luxury category. Restaurants ditto. Fourthly, and that is my personal view, we westerners sometime have to go back to a more stable and functional world. After some rehabilitation and renewed “air”, we can face Africa/Kenya for a while again. Westerners and travel videos outside of Africa, may appear like a bit of a cliche. But having watched so, so many travel blogs, I see the Manis in a league of their own for the reasons you have stated, for the footage, the editing and very much for the, mostly, full adventure. Unlike many travel vlogs, they have the the full trip: the travel, accommodation , places to go, places to eat, what to eat, the people, the dogs. Not just “Our trip to Pepe’s Pizza” or “my day in my room at the Marriott”. They kind of have to start almost from scratch. And, yes, it will probably be harder outside of Africa. And we all hope to see them back again some time. For other African adventures, perhaps. Until then, I enjoy watching other places, other cultures. I think the Africans should come along and see it too😊
