So the hate is definitely reduced, especially if we don’t think they’ll be part of the tour again. I think ppl are down on them because when they’re on tour there are like 10 songs where they’re featured so you’re bound to get 5-7 of those every night. I agree with you though, and that’s the sentiment of my comment, at least in this particular recording they really help take the song to the next level and I really appreciate them being on it.

I was at this show... My 5th time seeing Dave. After the previous 4 being amazing shows.. THIS ONE BLEW! The venue didn't allow printing out GA tix bought online so there was a TWO HOUR WAIT FOR TICKETS. They finally just let everyone in without checking tickets. Fun. Then, the set list would have been very average but they kept on adding on 10 minute solos at the end of 80% of the songs... with most being the banjo from the opening act (Bella Fleck). I've never been to a concert where I heard more conversations going on around us.. The show was so boring that everyone was talking and waiting for the crazy solos to end and to hear a song we knew. Very odd. For as long as it took to get in, 50% of the GA crowd was gone after an hour because of the crap venue and set list.

This song came out good but I do notice Dave struggling with his voice singing here which is very unusual for him. I have seem them 40 times over the last 20 years and I can only think of one concert that was on the weak side for DMB. I could hear mistakes being made all over the place it was very strange, come to find out Dave was sick that night and the band as a whole just had a bad night

Before DMB came about Dave was playing and singing at night clubs. His voice caught the attention of many musicians. I have always loved his voice. Dave Matthews father told Dave that his singing voice sounded so nice he could even get away with singing out of tune and still sound good. With that being said he has a tendency to pronounce words very oddly when he is singing making it difficult to make out what words he is singing especially to the people who don't listn to him often. He is straight tone singer most of the time which personally i normally do not like, but Daves style is legendary never the less. Straight Tone meaning lack of any vibrato. A god example of someone who sings far from straight tone would be Stevie NIcks. Another contrast Justin Beber totally straight tone compared to Shawn Mendez lots of controlled vibrato

I'm not religious, nor have I ever been in my life, and I would consider myself extremely happy, peaceful, and loving. If you rely on some mythological being to remain loving and remind you not to harm others in life, I'm a bit worried... I'm not trying to bash on religion in any way - it doesn't bother me whether anyone believes in a higher power or not. What does bother me is when people try to bring their religion into other people's lives as you are doing now ("you'll never find any of what you listed apart from Christ"). This is why I get so furious when people bring religion into law (attempting to ban abortion, gay marriage, etc.). Keep your beliefs to yourself. Somebody else loving someone of the same gender does not impact you, nor should it.
