​@@bonnieadams-cook2403 Yes, musically he does. I've only seen DMB once, in Stockholm 2010 and Boyd made that show worth it with his energy being all over the place. He was part of the sound that made DMB even more unique i think. Such a shame he fucked up.

@tsopuaifa True, his energy & skill was off the chain. I got to see him in 2013 in Scranton PA, which was about the same time Tim Reynolds started playing w/ then all the time. Boyd fucked up, he'll NEVER be part of DMB again & it took them awhile to find ANYONE to fill the void. Buddy not only can put the violin SOUND in where it belonged, but he has an incredible VOICE!! Watching all the videos from this past month's shows has me ABSOLUTELY STOKED FOR TOMORROW IN CAMDEN!!

I was on a submarine many many moons ago. I was a helmsman. I probably have brain damage from all the times I was course corrected upside my head from the DiveO. “Mind your helm.” Anyway, we would always play word games while underway. One time (at band camp) we were playing guess that band. My turn came up and I thought of DMB. The clue I gave was, “What would you play in the mid nineties [God I miss that time!!!] if you were trying to impress a girl. Four sailors all said Dave Matthews Band at the same time. What a time to be alive!!! (Then and now!!!)
