Great comments on the thermostats, Dave. I've always used pulse thermostats with my reptiles, because - as you rightly said - the heat mat doesn't go cold-hot-cold. Again - your comment about NOT putting the mat on the floor of the enclosure is spot on. Many (even experienced) hobbyists don't realise just how hot those things can get.

Very interesting about the humidity levels! From every other keeper I hear to keep them dry, but if the humidity encourages the female to make her egg sack, that definitely indicates they don’t like it bone dry… Thanks as always!

Thank you, Dave. I love the informative and friendly atmosphere of your videos. I learned many useful tricks from you. The main difference for me is that it is humid and hot where I live so the spiders don't need fiddling with humidity and temperature; they grow fast. Looking forward to your new videos.

i find it fascinating that the tarantulas have their own way of webbing and making egg sacs, I have learned a lot from this show and I found that the more i learn about spiders the less scary they have become and now I use a catchcup to move huntsmen outside, I couldn't have done that before I subscribed to this channel. thanks for that Dave and camera lady 👍

This is one of those old world spiders I really want. They have such gorgeous coloring. You are a wealth of information on so many different spiders! I'm so glad I found your channel. If you had to pick one or the other, what would be your preference when it comes to these guys: singles or a communal? I'm going back and forth on whether I want to get just the one or actually put together a communal when I decide to finally get this species.

Great video Dave as allways👍Now I have a question for you, As you know I’ve kept Balfouri for quite some time now, Having a good number of big communes but to date I’ve never been interested in breeding them till now, All those small exos I had of you I’ve set up like yours I have 4 xAF and 4 xAM they have been in there own enclosure for nearly 3 months as I wanted to give them time to settle,I’ve made notes on any of the female,s molting , But to date none of the males have made sperm webs!!! Can you shine any light on this so to speak??. Kind regards Andy BT
