Oh wow Dave mate. You chased so many beautiful horizons in this one. Loved the choice of walking paths, the reflections off the various waterways, and the overall calm and adventurous vibe of this video. If I was ever on a hike with the infamous Famous Five thru one of their adventures, THIS is what it would look like. Absolutely loved this one. 🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯

What a lovely Video, thanks for sharing. We passed along the first section of your walk in April 2005 during a circular walk from Priors Hardwick. We joined the Oxford Canal at Bridge 127 from the footpath that lead from Sheep Pens. Little did we know that HS2 would engulf this footpath some 20 years later. We left the canal at the footpath to Hardwick Hill. Of all the bridges we had encountered on the Midland Canals Bridge 127 (27.51 on the video) always sticks out in my mind. All the best, Peter.

the british canal system is fascinating and there's a great little article about it on wikipedia called 'canals of the united kingdom'. i learned a new word from it: gongoozler! thank you, dave, for this lovely, leisurely, quintessentially english walk. :)

haha, gongoozler, what a word Hellie. Glad you enjoyed the walk as always😊👍
@hellie_el2 жыл бұрын
gongoozler: A gongoozler is a person who enjoys watching activity on the canals of the United Kingdom. The term is also used more generally to describe those who harbour an interest in canals and canal life, but do not actively participate. (wikipedia)
