This place is an eye opener for me. Always associated the East coast of the UK with open and very flat landscapes. Forgot about the North York Downs area. A beautiful village Hellie. I'm envious too. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the influx of tourists. Not sure what the locals make of this.

I suppose if someone were to ask what I would expect a place named "Robin Hood's Bay" to look like, the scenery, surrounding area and the kind of paths it would have... it would have to be exactly what is in this video. Also be cautious of underground tunnels (did we not all watch C.H.U.D. when we were younger?!!! lol) Another great video, thanks Dave!

This was fascinating! I’m in Australia where we love our space and these tiny cottages all on top of each other in the narrowest of lanes is just incredible. How do people, families live in these tiny homes?! They look gorgeous though. This video sent me down a google rabbit hole wanting to know all about this village with the smuggling history. I love that you even went into the tunnel Dave! Thanks again - best videos.

@@kingofracism I think any place in the developed world has privilege and living simply can’t be generalised by country. Anyone anywhere can make that choice. 🙂No, for us it actually is that we simply don’t have that kind of history here…our oldest buildings are only a few hundred years old and obviously gorgeous villages like this were never going to relate practically in Australia. There is the space to spread out for starters and the distances between towns are vast. But it’s these geographic, historic and social differences, along with the climate, that make the UK so appealing to me 😍

They are all good, but this one was exceptional. I was really impressed by the zoomed pan you did of the housetops from that field. Whatever stabilization gimbals you're using is really impressive. That was rock-solid and smooth as silk as if it were done on a high-end tripod. Gorgeous. I have recommended your channel to many, many people. Thank you for posting these.

What a beautiful place! Thank you for the video. I wish I could go there for a holiday. But it is a bit far, a bit expensive, and the area is a bit hilly - difficult to walk around. So, I enjoy visiting it on my iPad. Thank you!

Its a beautiful place, no driving down at all, for good reason.. Very overcrowded on a nice day & unless you are good at walking distances up & down steep hills, be aware. I have no idea how people get a shopping delivery!! LOL Thank you for taking me back there, I cant manage my older legs any more, much appreciated.

You really got off the beaten path here, exploring all the little alleyways. I wonder how many people actually live here. I suspect most are now holiday homes or second homes. Beautiful as it is it must be very inconvenient having to carry shopping and luggage hundreds of metres up and down steep slopes and steps.

Robin Hood's Bay is so very Beautiful right close to the sea and the most beautiful scenery and countryside of the village that the Robin Hood legend is connected to but I really enjoyed the walk around the neighborhoods seeing the houses as well as the shops and cafes along with the magnificent scenic views i really enjoyed this walk around Robin Hood's Bay and this another really great tour and video Thank You very much and have a very Merry Christmas Dave to you and your family Thank You.👋👋 🎄🇬🇧🎀🇬🇧🎁🇬🇧🎀🇬🇧🎄
