I’m an American, but I think I was born in the wrong side of the Atlantic. I absolutely love everything about videos like this. The architecture, the ambiance, the everything is what I’ve always wanted to be near. The UK and Republic of Ireland are hands down the most beautiful places on earth. If I had the money, I’d buy a house here. It’s beyond beautiful. We don’t have anything near as beautiful over here.

@gamer197730 Жыл бұрын
@@ValyriaRizing there’s so much anger here. People can’t/won’t talk stuff out here anymore. It’s left vs right. It’s ridiculous. I’ve always leaned right/Republican but that doesn’t mean that I don’t love people on the liberal side. No one wants to talk to opposition. Other places probably have the same issues as us, but they’re probably more apt to talk. Plus it’s just so much more beautiful over there. The Scottish Highlands alone are more beautiful than anything here, imho.

@@gamer197730 ❤ USA has some stunning scenery but not the much older history & architecture. As a Brit/American I look at your "Craftsman" / "Farmhouse" type houses with acreage and wish too... Believe me, there's deprivation here! This is not the place for politics but we hear you... Very best wishes from across the pond.

Well done Dave. I have many fond memories of Castleton, I was the second head waiter at the Olde Nag's Head when it had a real restaurant. It was a different place then when local people lived there, before the toffs priced them out. The village used to be bustling all year round. We used to marvel at all the things in the shops that were made out of the stunningly beautiful Blue John, a stone unique to this village, the best pieces were an extremely deep blue. My favourite village of them all.

Such a wonderful place. Thank you so much for the walk around! I have always been in love with English villages and towns as such. When I was studying in England, I was graciously invited to a wonderful couples cottage in rural Norfolk, and it was one of the most magical, best few days of my life. Paul and Valyrie really took care of us (me and another student who had arrived from Vietnam). We had sat in the tea house overlooking the garden, and Mrs. Valyrie had been kind enough to inudlge us in a spot of Afternoon Tea! I shall never forget, and shall always be grateful that I was afforded such an experience, by two people whom I'd never met! I hope to return someday and just walk around, take those moments back in some form. Health, happiness and peace to all! :)

To be totally honest I'd rather go here or anywhere else within the English countryside than London. I'm not a fan of cities. They're nice for a day trip but if I stayed in London for week or so, like as a vacation, I think I would become exhausted from the hustle and bustle of the city. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying London is the worst place on earth. There's a ton of clothing stores, restaurants, and museums. Many iconic rock bands originated from London. However I don't think I'm missing out on anything. The English countryside looks so peaceful and cozy. You don't get that same feeling from a city.
