Saw Dave when I was at MI in 91. He arrived in his own Toyota pickup, unloaded his own drums, set them up and answered anyone's questions the whole time...did his clinic and tore his kit down himself and drove away. Coolest, nicest guy ever.

Now that’s a cool story…. There’s a guy floating around YT somewhere (I forget is name), who owns that legendary, one-off “square-sized” cherrywood Recording Customs he made famous back in the day. A lot of the people watching on these platforms have no concept of what the industry was like back then, when the buzz was about live performances, word of mouth, and every town had it’s own scene. The 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s was such a spectacular time to be a musician.
