Yeah, the stick placement is especially perplexing, considering that they offer the colorway you have, which is GC inspired, but the GC had offset sticks!

⁠@@meric12131415did more research last night found my answer. it runs Poké sword and Zeld botw there for I’m buying it was between this console and the ayan Odin 2 portal but rp5 has a smaller form factor, only other thing I would want is better battery life and and stick layout switch. I already got a pc and 2 switch’s no need for another big handheld for me

@@nicka4462 I got BOTW to run very playable if you are willing to spend a lot of time configuring it and have the right expectations. This thing is not made for Switch emulation tho.

I'm torn, I love the Gamecube design but the black version is just so perfect, games with 4:3 resolution just blend so well into the frame with the black bars and it's amazing.

Seeing Mario Sunshine on this thing was a thing of pure beauty, ever since I was a kid I dreamed of being able to play GameCube games on a device like this. Even with the black version I love the design, it's like a ps vita 1000 model made even more modern

Nice video, but I didn't catch the "5 things"? The picture quality and contrast range are so vivid, it makes 3:53 look like a fake superimposed image, especially as there's no black around the edge.

Totally agree about the D-pad/Joystick placement, one of the things that kept me from getting this. To me when your handheld can emulate Dreamcast and above as well as this does it seems silly to put the D-pad in the prime position. Save that for the PS1 and below handhelds!

Got my RP5 today and already I am really disappointed in the ergo feel - does not take long for the thumbs to hurt even with only medium sized hands. It looks beautiful but it's a pain to set up and your hands will hurt after an hour or so. Found the RP 2+ much more comfortable and easier to set up. If I could send it back I would.

Odin 2 mini has a mini led screen. Not micro. Theres a big difference. Just pointing that out.

I would prefer having D-Pad & Left Joystick positions swapped. Given the screen’s size, personally I would mostly be playing PSX, PS2, GC, Wii, etc. It would be a much better choice and much more comfortable.

This can actuality run linux alongside android. And while android dos not have ps3 emulation, thanks to rpcs3's new arm version linux does. It doesn't run as terribly as it sounds either. From the looks of it a lot of 2d and some lightweight 3d games run full speed.

I have ROG Ally Extreme and like to play all emulators. I mainly play Playstation 1 games. I'm thinking of buying RP5 the grey one (16 bit). I want something to carry around and play whenever I'm bored. I also want to get 3rd party Playstation buttons for it. Anybody had PlayStation buttons added on the RP5?

I think people getting this for Switch emulation will be HIGHLY disappointed. It’s a nice bonus that some games run well, but please don’t get this for Switch emulation if you are expecting most games to run

I would call its D-pad clicky :) - though with sort of muted sound. I'm sure they use switches for this D-pad and not rubber connections.
