David Amirian is the Founder of The Amirian Group, which is one of New York City’s premier residential and commercial developers.
David began his career in real estate back in 2001, at HRH construction where he worked on construction projects such as The Gateway Plaza Mall in East New York, and The Marc at 900 8th Avenue which is the Moinian Group’s first ever ground up project in the city.
Just 5 years later, in 2006, David was named the Director of Construction at 40 Broad Street and helped convert the Office Building in The Setai, which was a multi-million dollar mixed-use project where they added 5 stories on top of a 25 story commercial building and converted the 30 story building from commercial to residential.
After over 11 years of work in the real estate and construction industry, David started his own firm and now develops projects all over the city, breaking numerous records and generating substantial returns for himself and for his investors.
We talk about his career trajectory, advice for new developers, and the importance of reputation in the world of Commercial Real Estate. This chat was super inspiring, entertaining, and educational. I hope you all enjoy this podcast as much as I did.
Tune in Wednesdays and Sundays @ 7pm EST to hear more conversations like this with Real Estate Developers, Real Estate Investors, Real Estate Brokers, Real Estate Private Equity Sponsors, Real Estate Lawyers, Real Estate Bankers, and Construction Managers.
