@jakecalder827010 күн бұрын
@@Kerbezena it’s not that the LDS church hates gays. It’s the fact that the act of being gay violates the law of procreation. I don’t hate gays and I’m a member of the church. I even have friends and family who are gay, but I don’t think lesser of them. They made a choice that makes them happy. But I strongly feel that, that’s a choice they’re going to have to defend in the next life.

@@Kerbezenathe church isn't full of hate. That's a silly notion. Just like any organization, there are some people in it that kind of stink... But, a majority of the people are striving to do their best and make good decisions to become good disciples of Christ. If the standard Christian policy against homosexuality is what you consider to be hate, it isn't hate... Just like premarital sex is a sin and against the The laws of God, we don't hate and God doesn't hate people who have sex before marriage.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”" John 3:16-21

I'm amazed every time I read at how prophetic the records are, with such applicability to us in 2020. Truly a work of scripture like the Bible, and very much worth the read!

I was baptized a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in May of 1973. It has been such a blessing to me for all of my life. I've heard a lot of arguments and naysayers "dissing" it, but I just ask Heavenly Father to forgive them, for they know not what they do. One day, maybe far into the future, I know that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is the Christ and that Joseph Smith restored The Truth to the earth that was lost at the time of the Apostasy that the early Church leaders said would happen. Also, the Seed of Father Abraham will be gathered and will come to know who The Messiah truly is. The Bible and The Book of Mormon are, truly, the "two sticks" (spoken of in Ezekiel 37:16, 19 in the KJV of the Bible) and by two or three witnesses, every word may be established (See Deuteronomy 19:15-16 and Matthew 18:16 from the King James Version of the Bible). I hope that everyone who reads this, who is not currently a believer, will earnestly seek and knock, then open their Heart's Door so that Jesus Christ may enter and manifest Himself to you through the Holy Ghost. By the power of the Holy Ghost, you may know the truth of All Things. If you're not familiar with the 13 Articles of Faith, written by the Prophet Joseph Smith, you should Find Them, then Read Them, then Study Them and Ponder Them, so you can finally Understand Them. They are inspired and inspiring! God bless you in your Righteous Pursuits!!!
