I really beleive he feels so much respect for your son and what he does. His smile when he saw the Marines says so much. David was there to sing for them and his country not for himself.

He beautifully communicates the meaning and purpose of the songs and doesn't try to show off his singing abilities for the sake of doing so. wkyken: I am also NOT a teenager. I just love David. I met him and he truly believes in his country. If you haven't heard some of his Christmas songs from last year on you tube. You will see how much he puts into a song when he sings about God . I can't wait for this album. He is truly a wonderful singer and put so much emotioin into his singing. He is gaining more and more fans. I am so happy for him, he deserves all the success he is having.

Towards the end of the video when the announcer said "ladies and gentlemen, David ARchuleta!". The audience was pretty enthusiastic in their response. I know by experience that David live is so amazingly different compared to the videos of his performances on youtube. He is super amazing live. As far as his breathiness, you do notice it but it doesn't take away from the beauty of his voice. If you watch Maria Carey and Whitney HOuston singing "When You Believe", they are pretty breathy.
