The part when you were talking about the order of putting the cards in what pile confused me

say the order of the pile from top to bottom for the hearts was K Q J 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 A. you would take 4 3 2 A and put it ontop of the pile so you get 4 3 2 A K Q J 10 9 8 7 6 5. for the clubs move just the A to the top, for hearts move 4 3 2 A, for spades 7 6 5 4 3 2 A, for diamonds 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 A. hopefully that makes sense

I don’t even get what the performance is. The demonstration where it was the second card worked well in the situation, because it was the top 2 cards which was lucky. If it was the 17th position, what do you say? 17 or 18? That’s not a trick. That’s just ‘you name a card and I’ll tell you where it is in the deck I’ve memorised.’ Not sure where the trick is here.
