There you will discover where David Blaine has been discovering, polishing and reintroducing some of his magic tricks.

Patrick Kitts You seem to know a lot of stuff, do you know how does the frog trick work?
@plk55207 жыл бұрын
Marco D. Toon Magic was one of my hobbies when I was a kid. I probably read every single book on magic and famous magicians that was available in every elementary school I attended. The biographies of the magicians and illusionist I mentioned were particularly fascinating because they went into great detail describing a typical performance of each one of them, illusion by illusion. Some of those books revealed the secret behind certain tricks and stage illusions. I do think I know how David Blaine did the frog swallowing trick. If I'm correct, then he used a technique that Houdini also used in some of his escape routines.
@plk55207 жыл бұрын

I went to the Mentalist show in Vegas and was pulled up to participate in a few tricks. He was able to guess which hand I put a coin in behind my back several times and a few other tricks. After each trick throughout the show he'd explain how he was able to make an educated guess, read body language, and to influence our actions without knowing. For example...he guessed which hand the coin was in the first time correctly and then told me how he kept giving cues to influence me to choose my left hand (used left hand while providing instructions & things like that), the 2nd time I put it in my right hand but switched back to my left and he guessed the left hand correctly. He said usually with women we try tend to start watching for the cues he just told us about that he used and think we can trick him by doing the opposite. When having someone guess a numer he'd influence with gestured as well. When he had a guy choose a number between 1-10 and he currently guessed the guy chose the number 3. He then explained how he was pointing with 3 fingers while he was speaking & repeated a few things 3x. I bought his book because I think it's facinating how people can be influenced without even knowing it...even more facinating when they are aware and trying to not be influenced. Even though it's not real magic... it's super impressive and not easy to pull off.
