I do have an RM trainer powered by an Enya Super Sport 30 . It was originally a 3 channel plane when I acquired it about 17 years ago, but this year (2014) I put together some aileron wings and it has flown just once. I was surprised it was possible to purchase the foam / hardwood veneer wings when the originals were built up with balsa from the plan provided free by RM Modeller magazine in about 1984.

Laurence, the plans are available from myhobbystore.co.uk, they aren't really a hobby store but are, in fact, an outlet for the products of a magazine publisher. Look up David Boddington's plans over there and you'll find the R.M. Trainer among them.

I am about to build one of these and want to convert it to electric as has been done here. I would be grateful if someone could tell me how heavy the RM trainer is in flying trim and what electric motor/prob combination would be recommended. many thanks
