I had the immense honour of meeting Bowie in Paris in 1990 and working with him on a radio show. He was everything you would have wanted him to be...funny, professional, mesmerising and so very kind to a rookie interviewer / producer like me. After the show, he recorded a get well message for one of our colleagues who couldn't be there and then did the answer phone message for our exec producer, Bruce!....what a total legend.

David Bowie reminds me of my grandad a lot. My grandad died in 2015 from cancer and since then I’ve always missed his smile and hearing his voice. But when I look back at videos and pictures of David Bowie, I can sometimes see my grandad in him somewhere. It’s also a little coincidence that they both have the first name David (although the last names are different). I just wish I could have met David Bowie in person as he seems like the kind of person I needed in my life after my grandad’s death. Since then I’ve just been in my own sort of shadow and been really distant from myself, in fact at times I’ve even cried myself to sleep.

He was always so genuine, no fake here. I am an enormous Beatles fan, but Paul Mc Cartney always tends to give the impression he wants to impress, making funny faces and go 'oh' and 'ah'. You never saw that with Bowie. What you see is what you get, and I liked that a lot about this guy. Don't get me wrong, Paul's work has always been fan-tas-tic, but he's a businessman (John always was an artist first, then a family man, and he didn't bother about money too much). Bowie was also, first an artist above anything else.

I liked him and Loved his music from the early 70's forward, without every asking myself why. He was a phenomenal talent and left that Legacy for all time.

David Bowie is more beautiful than any supermodel that has ever lived. Lol everytime I see him that thought crosses my mind.

Oh gemma nicole howard, I enjoyed every second of your compilation! So nice a year in from losing David to have this wonderful memento. Lots of raw unknown footage I have never seen. Been a fan since the 70's and we have lost one truly great human being! Life on Mars tune circling space being blasted from a Tesla. Major Tom lives on!!

What a brilliant straight man performance with Conan O Brian. Just perfect like almost anything he did. I miss him.
