ShipBuilding I’ve been 19 for not too long now. So now I’ll have to see what I can do to make “19” not feel wasted.

@@isolar_THE_576th Hope it wasn’t wasted! I remember 19 very well, and quite fondly, though it will be 15 years ago that I turned 19, later in February. I remember thinking something akin to, “it’s the last year of my teen years, I’m going to be a REAL adult after this year”, and then at 20 thinking, “damn, that went fast, but I can’t wait till next year so I can buy booze/drink in clubs/bars”, and I remember after 21 thinking, “damn, there’s no real point to any of these birthdays from here on out, other than realizing that my youth is slipping away”, which I look back on now, nearly 34, thinking that was absurd, but of course I’d think that now. Sorry for rambling, I’m just saying that the time flies by, and every year that goes by, it seems time is increasing in speed. Thing is, you can do a lot with a year. I’d sell my soul to go back to my 19 year old self for just 5 minutes, basically to explain what I know now, and to tell that self what/who to avoid. The problem is that you need to make mistakes to learn, or at least hopefully you learn.. you’ve gotta “fail forward”. Granted, saying this to any 19/20 year old is almost always going to be scoffed at, bc you really do know everything at that age, and you really do feel invincible. I’m still rambling. This was meant to be some kind of advice to a young person, but I’m not so sure it’s anything other than me waxing philosophical... Just use your time wisely. It’s going to go by so much faster than you realize, but if you use it as wisely as you can, you won’t regret it, and that includes partying and all the other important things that go with that age. Just balance it with thinking about the future, not just your own, but the future of our planet, and life on earth. I’m sure you’ve already at least figured out that our generations have to be the ones to turn the ship around, or there won’t be a stable world for the next couple generations to have an exciting youth.. Jesus, I’m talking to much. Good luck. ✌️

I remember being in the SECC just before the concert was due to start. There was a small crowd of Moz fans waiting for refunds. I could not believe that they were happy to miss a concert by one of the greatest artists of all time because their idol wasn't playing. But while I like Moz and his music I've found that some of his fans are very strange indeed. Thanks for sharing

I had the same thoughts. I was inside at my seat when they announced over the PA that Morrissey would not be playing and I saw at least 20 people in front of me get up and walk out, it just seemed mad to walk out and miss Bowie. Anyway thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

I don’t think Bowie ever forgave Morrissey for leaving the tour in a huff. It didn’t help matters when Morrissey slagged of Bowie for years afterwards. I wonder what Morrissey thinks about it now. It was big news at the time. Bowie’s professionalism always shone though in the way he dealt with he media.

As the asshole Morrisey is, he probably thinks Bowie owes him an apology.

1:22 - David: "I think was so unfortunate is that Morrissey came down ill in Aberdeen" ... ... And, while he gives this version of events, he touches his nose; in the branch of psychology that studies the meaning of human gestures, this means not telling the truth or hiding something ... Tim Roth in 'Lie To Me' TV series teaches us something ...

Really what would a person talk to David about, that he has not heard or been asked many times before. When I spoke with him, we just talked about the origins of rare video of other artists, how to locate rare items not in archives ( it was Pre youtube or internet days) what he was seeking on video and bands that we had a common interest in, Velvet Underground is about the only band I can really remember him speaking about.

@@I_Have_The_Most_Japanese_Music Meeting famous people was almost always pure chance, which involved record fairs, long queues at the post office, the odd case of mistaken identity or just not knowing who I was talking to🤣 So ones I can think off include John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) & Pele (Brazilian football player) I keep meeting football players, which is odd as I have less than zero interest in the sport and yet most of my football mad friends have never met any even remotely known players. I seldom ever mention the music people I have met as in the distant past if I mentioned a name, you could see from peoples faces the doubt, just because they had never met anyone, they just did not believe I had encountered way more than a handful, I always put it down to small town syndrome. Have you been lucky enough to meet and talk with any known people? Was it just chance?

@@ScottishTeeVee I was successfully able to avoid ever talking to the last people who rented the house next to mine (okay, I did say "Fuck you" to their dog at one point). You're just confirming my belief that most people walking the streets of Britain are rock stars. What did you think of Mr. Rotten? And how. did you meet. _Pele?_ Any other national team players? Cruyff? Beckenbauer? Beckham? I've decided to junk the idea of making a documentary of your life and instead am now pitching a bio-pic to Hollywood. Who would you like to play you in the movie: Leonardo DiCaprio? Mark Wahlberg? Jack Black?
