David Bowie
Il aurait dû interpréter « My Way »
David Bowie
It should have interpreted "My Way"
The title " My Way " is one of the best known American songs in history. If many are not unaware that it is a cover of "As Habit " by Claude François , few know that the first artist called to interpret the English version was none other than David Bowie. In the mid 1960s, he was contacted to sign the English adaptation . It has for that ten days, but fails its purpose . He still finds a title ( " Even A Fool Learns To Love ") and some of the words, but gives up. It finally Paul Anka , whose father discovered the song in France , which will make an English version and give them to Frank Sinatra . Released in 1969, the title is a relative success , but experience gradually posterity.
This title is beautifully interpreted by Stevie Riks

The lyrics of this classic masterpiece sums all the life of Mr.David Jones. He invented himself on his own term and he said goodbye to this earth on his own term with his own pride also. He has prepared everything for his beloved family before he died, funeral arrangements, inheritance, copyright royalties, properties and how to do with his legacy. When I think of the life of "NO REGRETS" I think of him. Mr.David Jones.

The ‘crazy looking ‘man my father didn’t like sang my dad’s favorite song to perfection here. Yes, I know the history on the song et al. Frank and David…both…amazing in all they’ve brought to music with the simple power of a fabulous voice. I wish my dad could’ve heard this. From the ‘kooky’ dressed man (his words for Bowie) to someone who sings his favorite song just as perfectly as the version he knew before…. ‘Sinatra’, best voice ever, he’d say. This would’ve blown his mind. David and Frank… voices of equal and rarely matched magnificence.

This is NOT David Bowie - it's Stevie Riks singing. Here's his original version that matteo fino "freebooted" without Stevie's permission and is letting you all think it's Bowie. Not cool! But Stevie is - and Fab and Brill :-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4OaiIuKgs-ijdE

David Bowie was no enigma but just someone who did it his way. I think My Way is truly his anthem; it was written well before he became a star but he lived and breathed it every day.

True, and there will never again be another time like this, I admire many artists, but this is my no1. Mind you, it's strange at first, when you find out that this genius is singing 'my way' but like with all his personas, and his talent, its fabulous, just like everything else he gave us. Thankyou Mr Bowie.
