Ziggy Stardust is a work of art in storytelling. Each song is so connected and descriptive that you can see and feel the tale unfold while listening. It's my favorite album of all time. ❤

I'm with you there, I found my sister's copy in around 76 when I was 12. Bowie became my absolute life long bar none Idol. I listen to something from him without exaggeration pretty much daily. Oh and I still have that very Rise and Fall album I snagged from my sister. It's one of my prize possessions. It is as well my # 1 desert island album. I have listened to that album literally A 1000 times and like yourself I listen to it from from to back.

Thank You for asking me to be your Friend!! Miss you David Jones and I know you are checking on Iman and Alex and Duncan Jones. They Will Always Miss You and So Does The World 🌍💯. Ken Scott is one of those names that would make most people go "Who?," but then you look up his credits and realize, damn, this mild-mannered English gentlemen might have had a hand in making more classic albums than Al Kooper, Todd Rundgren, and Brian Eno combined.

To music nerds he's always been known. Back in the day, as they say, one would memorize all the details of a band that were listed on the album, or single, jacket.

There’s always something new to discover, the trick is finding out what it is?Bowie was a trail blazer but he didn’t do everything, that’s absurd. Having said that were he still alive and could have stayed in his prime years forever then I’m pretty sure he would have had a go and would still be discovering new music directions today. In the meantime here’s to the next David Bowie in the future because there will be one waiting in the wings that’s for sure. I might not be alive to see it though? ☹️

@@realLow-Key Did anyone who reinvents themselves today say they were the first to do so, are totally unaware of Bowie , are totally original, or better than Bowie? You say It’s been done better by their betters by which I assume you mean Bowie but by whose yard stick? Yours! I think fans of whoever past or future will give you a different opinion on that judging by their own yard stick and not yours. What gives you the right to call them idiots🙄I also re affirm everything HASN’T been done so stop being a Bowie snob and putting a downer on artists who try past and future. Doing that doesn’t help us find the next David Bowie of which there surely will be one.

Ziggy with Mick Ronson ruled. IMO: Bowie actually caved in to commercialism after Diamond Dogs.
@nickhowarth4395

He was actually less commercial after Diamond Dogs. Station To Station and the Berlin Trilogy - Low, Heroes, Lodger - were some of the least commercial records ever released by a major artist. He caved into commercialism for Let's Dance and he rest of the 80s.
