It's still hard to believe he isn't among us anymore. Bowie's music has been a huge part of my life.

Walter Bianco As long as you infest the children with his music, he’ll never leave. “When we are forgotten, we cease to exist.” I can tell you where I heard this quote...but I’m sure many have said it before I heard it.

Every single night i play 'Low' & 'All Saints' as a playlist on my media player - for months and months. Warszawa will be the last song of David's i want/will hear before i depart this earth. - Thank You David for being such an important part of 3/4 of my life. And also for keeping my spirits up whilst i'm suffering serious illness. Farewell - You will live on forever for millions of people. xx

I hope your illness has long since past... I too have been falling asleep to Low (2nd side) for 35 years off and on. Sometimes I would start yashashin from lodger then instrumentals from the "trilogy" off hero's then by the time I am relaxed the b side of Low took me on journey. Since Jan 11, '16 however I can no longer fall asleep to it....emotions, memories, regrets and endings oft times replace the ethereal quality.... Maybe again someday

This sounds even more moving, if that were possible, now that he is gone. There is an ethereal quality to Subterraneans that is both haunting and beautiful, and for me it's one of his (and Eno's) greatest pieces of work. RIP David - you meant so much to so many, and will continue to do so.

Haunting and beautiful, that sax cuts right through your soul. I dunno what Eno and Bowie were on but this track is timeless and other worldly. I'd be happy for this to be the last thing I hear before departing this life. A true masterpiece.

I believe Bowie once said that the music was supposed to represent the bittersweet nostalgia for those trapped in East Berlin who lived in what now is the former West Berlin. Not being able to go home. A bit like Thomas Jerome Newton. A bit like Major Tom.

Thank you for the great video. For me "The Man Who Fell To Earth" is a unique film in terms of a possible alien look on Earth. Being "in another world" in that period, Bowie looks a very authentic "alien". And connecting this with even the existing of Berlin Wall and all the useless and cruel things that followed, makes me think again if the people that made it were people at all. People as in "the most intelligent creatures on our planet."

I have to say, you did a really incredibly excellent and professional-looking job at blending the visuals with the music. Not only did your pace of the movie reflect the slow, melodic tempo of the song, but your mix of incorporating the motion videos with some freeze-frame action at the end of each sequence for the pauses in between, was perfectly timed. Thank you so very, very much for your work and for sharing this. My favorite fan-made video I've seen for any artist!

Brian Eno has nothing to do with "Subterraneans"!!! The song was recorded one year before (nov-dec 1975) than the sessions for "Low" and was originally intended for the soundtrack of "The man who..." . Keyboards (rhodes) and synthesisers (ARP & strings) were played by Peter Robinson and Paul Buckmaster (long time Bowie collaborator since his 1969 album). Bowie added vocals and saxophone, Carlos Alomar the backwards guitar parts and George Murray the bass riff.

the only confirmed track from Bowie's not used MWFTE soundtrack, and it ended up on Low. Nic Roeg changed his mind and went with John Phillips (yawn). Imagine the film if they used his music? where's the rest of it? he worked with Paul Buckmaster on the orchestrations/arrangements (credited to "Peter and Paul" on Low)

It feels like an a lot darker version of strobe by deadmau5. It reminds me so much of it. I know it was out way before. It also really isn't that similar at all, re listening to both songs. Yet I just can't not think of it. Strobe is one of my favorite music, don't hate me.
