David Brooks says we should be vulnerable with each other and lead with trust, and yet his entire career is built upon strategic dishonesty. Brooks, like GW Bush, like DJ Trump, like so many others in the modern GOP, lead with distrust and dishonesty.

Maybe it’s because you disagree with him politically, would you be OK with being called dishonest simply because someone disagreed with your politics? I find it pretty ironic, that you are willing to come on here, and not consider that you might be missing something about the other side, after listening to a lecture about essentially being open-minded and curious about other peoples points of view.

I don’t call Brooks dishonest because I disagree with his ideology, I call him dishonest because he would never be caught on camera expressing his true beliefs about a number of issues, including for just one example his role and the role of his many coconspirators in the media and beyond, in selling the lies that led to the second US-Iraq war. David Brooks probably thinks he serves a greater good, but my opinion is that he is degrading democracy beyond repair with his dishonesty. @@paulacoyle5685
