G day Barry, Boy you can put some time into panels, I feel a lot don't understand that, not my favourite part of the job but it is very satisfying when it all comes together.

G Day Lance, your right there is a lot of people who don't appreciate how much time goes into them, it's not hours it's days, and I've got the bonnet to attempt along the way, However I did learn a lot from the dash about welding thin steel fingers crossed for a warm couple of days to get it finished and painted. cheers Lance Barry

A tip from d3Sshooter to fit or remove dash loosen the steering wheel column nuts. Think only applies to DB 1200 1212.

many thanks for that

Nice work again Barry, when the dashboard is fitted there are three seating strips fitted between the dash and the fuel tank and this may slightly amend the position of the hole for the hand throttle. It is part number K913391, I think it is self adhesive and they are stuck to the inside face of the dash between each pair of adjacent fixing holes. When the dash came off the press tools they were planished up to remove blemishes then belt linished before going off to the paint plant.

Cheers Terry. is this something like a little piece of draft tape between the tank and dash to stop any metal on metal rubbing? just found it in the parts diagram. I'll have to locate some of that before final paint job and fitting. many thanks Barry

Yes Barry it’s probably a rubber or foam type material

Another great video! So just take the steering wheel off and the throttle stuff to get the dashboard out. Got it. When I get around to re-wiring mine I'll need to remove the dashboard.

Hi Shane. how did the total eqlipse go did you gat any video of it? when I dismantled the tractor I took the dash off with the steering column attached and it quickliy became a handling nightmare so it's easier to strip it all out when the column is firmly attached tot he gearbox. mind the steering wheel can be a lot of fun to get off as it's on a taper and woodruff key, I have a viewers solution on my community tab were he put a puller on then used an oscillating saw to induce a harmonic vibration into the column which broke the lock on the taper, in much the same way as hitting a ball joint with two hammers from opposite sides at the same time works. don't forget to video it! cheers Shane Barry

@@manfromthemist1958 Only had a bit of it here, and was cloudy/overcast so really couldn't see anything. Thanks for the advice on that! I'll be sure to video it if I can ever get back around to the tractor. I've had soooooo much going on lately that I haven't had time to video anything tractor related. I'm working on a 1946 Singer sewing machine cabinet restoration/rebuild for my Aunt, so will be posting that when I'm done with it, but it's taking a while. Hours and hours of video on it that'll probably be condensed down to 10 to 15 minutes lol.

The devil is in the details😂😂 It's all those little jobs, that seem so small, but I bet you'll be glad you did when you're finished. And let's face it, it will never be easier than it is now, when it's already taken apart. Crack on Barry ! Cheers from Denmark 🇩🇰🔧🚜

Hi OK Hansen, your right sometime the little jobs take longer than the big jobs, that could be because we spend more time worry about the large tasks. but every nut and bolt is just as important. many thanks Barry

Great update Barry - would the throttle lever have a rubber grommet fitted where it passes through the dash?
@manfromthemist19588 ай бұрын
Hi Charles no it doesn't have a gromet, I've just checked the parts diagrams and there's nothing showing. The whole in mine I made more round, the original whole is elongated up the dash, but not as long as mine was due to damage. many thanks Barry
