Another great pod Mark! The most fascinating, entertaining, heart felt conversations happening at that table!! Also, I love that you’re mentoring Arthur. Keep up the great work!

Outstanding interview. Worked with David for a while and he definitely underplayed his role in the school. Amazing man and worker and a true hero to many pupils he worked with.

As a goalkeeper growing up in Australia and now beginning my own career as a goalkeeper coach I love being exposed to people like this that I wouldn’t otherwise be aware of. Cheers Mark for providing this platform so people like myself can listen and learn.

Not a problem. I love spreading the message about goalies being different. Hopefully there’s some advise there for everyone too 🧤🧤

He must have had a bad weekend when he was coaching at Mervyn Day’s Goalkeeping School way back when…. Regardless, this has been a fascinating insight

Ok that was my favourite so far. What an interesting genuine fella. A life shaper. I never played footy. I was always told I was too small. At 16 I was 5'3. I kept up the enthusiasm for team sport and went over to rugby as I was small yet quick. Fast forward to age 24 I was 6'5, a good coach changed everything. The advice was that I still played like I was 5'3, I just needed someone to work with me to have belief in myself. It's not just a sport thing it's a life thing.

Mark, do you have a favourite side to dive? My daughter plays in goal and says she struggles/isn’t as comfortable to dive to the right as she is the her left? Wounded if it is a mind thing?
@yoursmineaway9 ай бұрын
Everyone does have a favourite side to dive. It just takes time and practice to make both sides as natural as possible. Normally right footers prefer to dive left off there standing leg. And left footers prefer to dive right.

It’s not a mental thing. So don’t worry. Just get her practicing.
