Which kind of grammar (or formal description of language) would David Crystal tell English teachers is best/most useful? Before you say, "Whatever the teacher likes", let me rephrase it, "Which version of grammar would David Crystal use if he studied a foreign language and taught a foreign language?" a) Construction-Cognitive Grammar, b) Generative or Universal Grammar, c) Systemic Functional Grammar, d) Head Phrase Grammar e) Traditional Grammar

@pisforpillow It's a computer program ;) Unfortunately there is still a long way to go before we have programs that approach human levels of speech-hearing abilities. Also I enjoy the way you say 'encharged of' instead of 'in charge of' - it's cute xD

I've watched every single video that is of David Crystal since I started studying Linguistics and Literature. I absolutely adore him! Just a thing: I don't know who's encharged of the close captioning but I'd suggest to remove them. They're seriouslly wrong at some parts: 42:07 is an example.
