Same. They did it so perfectly. I kept expecting Dom DeLuise or Burt Reynolds to walk out. When I own the movie I plan to make a cut of it adding actual 77 commercials in instead of the behind-the-scenes stuff just so I can see it like an actual show.

I've lived and breathed horror since I was 8, so 41 years of numbing my brain had me wanting something special to come along. The Void helped. The Autopsy of Jane Doe helped, too. This movie, though... it's just done so well it's now among my favorite films ever. The story isn't pioneering anything, really, but it doesn't matter. It isn't like anything else out there.

I think the skeleton dude was just a red herring, but yes it would have been great if he showed up here. Could be a dude who loves Halloween and is attending all the network shows. Could be part of an evil cult trying to trick a late night tv host into murdering a girl live on tv as a means to bring about Satan’s reign on earth. 🤷♂️

The first film I saw David Dastmalchian in was The Dark Knight. He was only in one scene against two big name actors and absolutely outshone them. I thought, who is this guy? That scene told me that this guy was gonna make it as an actor.

@@davonjones834 Watch that scene again, watch David's eyes. He's 100% in the character, back when I first saw it in theaters, I had just assumed he was an established actor in a cameo I wasn't familiar with. It's awesome to see him keep working with Nolan and now Villeneuve and now leading his own film.

@@davonjones834Thomas Schiff was a speaking role. But he stammered due to suffering from a pseudobulbar affect and had difficulty getting out words during Harvey Dent’s coin flip interrogation. I wonder if Dastmalchian’s decision to give his character that specific neurological disorder to be unable to control laughing or crying influenced the Joaquin Phoenix Joker.
