I was 16 years old when I first visited the NYC meatpacking district/Christopher Street leather clubs - My fave was The Anvil and what I experienced in those clubs was very much like the movie -Visiting from Canada I made the trip to those clubs in NYC 1977- 1981 - I Watch Cruising yearly to this day every time I need that feeling of the gritty NYC of that era .

Jesus...This guy doesn't shut up. And I think some of his statements sound like opinions and not facts. Even if he is knowledgable about the movie and the history of it, doesn't mean he's correct. Plenty of people get things wrong no matter how well they think they know of the topic.

Lol, I feel bad for any co-commentarian he works with for that reason. But that's what you get with Del Valle. And he knows what he's talking about, from both the filming side and the culture. He's not an armchair historian.

Friedkin was always a maverick. I remember the fury about this movie when it came out. Probably only made more profit as a result
