@@konayuki8525hey man, you don’t need to be professional to not drink yourself to death. Frank looks like he’s in good health at least, but I do understand what you’re getting at. Too many kids have to be rockstars and do serious damage

Tone is in the hands. These two could switch rigs and they would still sound like themselves. If you think you can plug into Lemmy's, Steve Harris or John Myung's rig and sound like them, try it.
@dylangreen9819
@dylangreen9819 7 жыл бұрын
jlarsena take it account eq's as well. if ellefson plugged into harris rig or lemmys it would be awkward. it would be loud in lemmys and very warm and heavy on treble in harris's rig

Anyone who wants to approximate (because let's face it, no bassist will ever sound 100% like another) can use the same settings on gear and also use the same hand techniques, and get close. Sometimes close enough is close enough. We do it because we look up to the great players so much, and want to pay respect and improve ourselves at the same time.

I just got my Bass for my Birthday three weeks ago, and David Ellefson haZ become one of my favorite Bass players in that short period of time! 🎸 I can watch and listen to the guyZ playing for hours on end. Being brand new to Bass (I'm a life-long drummer), I notice that my musical background in general iZ helping me learn much quicker than the norm. Bass iZ such an underrated instrument! There iZ so much to it, and I'm really enjoying the Bass journey!!! Holy Wars = 16:12 Starting on Bass = 27:10 Writing Symphony Of Destruction = 29:00 Five Magics = 34:40

Gars one of the best metal drummers ever,jazzy as hell,sweet chops.

I see some great players perform using an ESP bass with a Hartke amp and speakers.. Coincidently and by process of elimination, I have settled on a similar rig with an ESP LTD B-204. This rig is economical, minimal and in the end, offers the best tone control.
