from Persia I always loved Friedrich since I was a kid... He is the best painter in all the history of painting

I agree. He has so much depth to his paintings. I also think he is very underrated. I love his work.

Not sure if he is the best painter, but he is the one who triggers deep emotions. His paintings resonate with me. I can imagine myself being the Rueckenfigur person watching the sunset, or the moon, or the sea of fog with the mountain peaks.

Big fan of his artwork. I put this on my 42" flat screen TV and pause at times just to look at his inner detailing. Just a magnificent artist. I joke with friends that if they win the lotto they need to buy me a piece of artwork of his and I'll be happy for the rest of my life.

This very important painter will become one of your favourites if you have the opportunity of watching some exhibition about his pictures. Friedrich's pictures transmit mistery, pose questions. It's clearly a romantic and symbolic painter. For me it was impossible not to fell under his spell. It's a haunting, very interesting painter. The only critic I could do is that some of his pictures were of smaller size than I would have liked. But if you like to look at pictures that seem to be asking you about their meanings, Friedrich is the one. I remember the man stepping into a forest. You can only see his back while he walks away into the forest. Wilderness counts for Friedrich. And men seem to be lost and vulnerable, face to this "superior" power. I was told, you see, the forest could be life. Life is a forest, isn't it? - and yes, out of the blue I was just another man getting into the forests of life. It's quite a poetic kind of painter, and so, a lovely one. It also transmits some kind of inner peace in his landscapes with lonely men in. A fascinating genius of painting history. 💎❤️👍🤗

There are actually around 300 paintings by Friedrich that still survive. Helmut Borsch-Supan published his catalogue of Friedrich's works in 1976, which consist of around 250 works (both surviving and lost), and Christina Grummt published her catalogue in 2011, which also compiles around 1000 over his drawings and sketches. Other works have been discovered since both of those publications, but the number is usually interpreted as around 300.

How come we never see the rest of them. can’t find them online. i know there is one that’s rarely shown called the three poets
@RequiemAeternam013 ай бұрын
@@paulwoodford1984 The main reason we don't often see a lot of his works is because many of them are currently in private collections and those who own them don't give permission for digital scans to be uploaded to the internet. The work which you are referring to with the "Three Poets" is a work painted by Friedrich at an unknown date (the canvas is not dated nor is there any documentation). It now resides in the Pushkin Museum in Moscow.

لهذا الرسام القُدرة على أن يدلك على الطريق الذي يؤدي إلى داخل نفسك . أثناء مشاهدة هذه اللوحات تذكرت إقتباس لهرمان هيسّه "One has to be able to slip into oneself just like a turtle" ولوحات كاسبار داڤيد تجعلنا نحدق داخل أنفسنا من خلال الشخصيات في اللوحة ومن خلال إتساع المشاهد الدافئة الموجودة في كل أجزاء اللوحة.
