I can't stop listening to this song. David Frizzell does such a great job on this song. Such a true and heart felt song. So much feeling and so heart touching. I just love his voice and the way he puts so much feeling and emotion in this beautiful song. His unique voice drawed my attention when I was about 11 years of age and every since I first heard him and then on, I couldn't get enough of his awesome talent. Much love and respect for him and where ever you may go, may the good lord continue to follow and keep his hands upon you. 🙏

I love how most of the crowd are so engrossed and you can see they are reliving those years in their minds, Marty Haggard wasn't born yet, but he knew that was a song near and dear to his Dad's heart,,,, Benny doesn't wear his emotions on his sleeve, so it's hard to make him out during this song....but, he was born right at the turn of the century, so I don't expect him to understand the lyrics or that time of innocence....hoping his Dad explained it to him! Thanks for posting this,,,I have always loved David Frizell!

Many things were different for sure. A lot more slow pace and I appreciate that as well and love the vibes I get from this music. There were also "Whites only" diners etc. So yeah, guess we easily fall for the trap to take in all the impressions the modern world present us. But that's up to you to filter and then live your life like you want to. But "Everything was good and right" is just not true, that's a romantic telling of any time from the past.. Hope my Dinglish makes sense..

If you are getting this on your computer instead of a smart tv then you can pick up 1000"s of oldies radio stations. I listen to 107.3 FM and they play all these old songs I love so much but there are many more. There is one in San Antonio Texas but I can't remember the call sign. The one in Quitman Tx. is on the net It's maybe 99.9 I think and most of these singers are still touring simply because the record companies or managers beat them out of all the money they made while they were on the radio with hits. I love George Strait's new 'Kicked Out Of Country' cause that's what they did.
