RIP Rocco. You were one of my inspirations. Dave and Rocco were the BEST

David is one of the greatest tight drummers of all time. I saw TOP backing CCR in S.A. Texas 1972 and they blew me away. I ran out and bought the BUMP CITY album and I've seen them 3 more times in 40 years. These guys do their homework and if you're starting a horn band, these are your heroes. Maybe BS&T thrown in for good measure.

Probably the second band I ever saw live. And that was in 1977, Their sound was so tight.

"East Bay Grease", I still have that LP. I remember playing "Sparkling In The Sand" in my 69 Mustang while cruising downtown San Jose. Those were the days.

Sparkling in the Sand is a great song. Too bad most people have never heard of it.

The east bay grease version of the song faded out at the end but the version on the '76 live and living color album ends in a beautiful harmony!

David Garbaldi confirms my suspicions that many bands were destroyed by success that enabled them to consume large quantities of substances not really meant for people. Too bad cause the music took a beating. It lost respect.
