This has now become one of my most favorite songs ever. it brings to mind when I and my sister finally fulfilled my mother's dream to return to her hometown in Iloilo City, after almost more than 52 years, being married and all. And finally as a gesture to console our mother after Daddy died last July, we were able to book a flight from Manila to Iloilo City last November 27. And when I hear this song, I could clearly recall the thrill of being in that AirAsia plane during the takeoff and seeing the spectacular colors of the sunset above the Luzon airspace as we were flying to Iloilo. And both of us were practically overwhelmed with joy, and this song captures that event.

As a violinist, this is super inspiring. I'd love to be able to play a sort of rock style of violin, but it's not overly common. But this is incredible! Several of the techniques he uses are quite difficult to do well and consistently.

Oh, he's added a demographic that would NEVER have listened to violin - He's made violin cool, I can't think of a more elegant way to phrase it because the coffee hasn't kicked in yet, but yes, he has worked hard, made the violin aware to millions that would have thought of it as a dusty old instrument in the attic. The way he did this song is not quite like the original and that is the point~ It's his own cover of the original song and it's beautiful. Bittersweet Symphony is my all time favourite song and has been for years; And this cover is absolutely wonderful, and incredibly talented!
