I got chills listening to this. Back in 84 before I knew what a Pink Floyd was, the boarding school I attended in PA played The Wall one night and my 14 yr old brain erupted ! That weekend I immediately went to the record store and bought The Wall on Cassette and listened intently to the soundtrack on my Walkman playing it over and over . Before too long, I knew every word, every note, every image. Watching Bob sing this with David brings back a lot of memories of those days for me

Love it. Bob deserved a crack at it. I always said for years before Live 8 in 2005 that if the Waters-Gilmour-Wright-Mason Pink Floyd would ever reunite on stage it'd have something to do with Geldof. He's a big reason why it happened & low & behold that's exactly what occurred. Geldof finally getting to sing Comfortably Numb live is a deserving award considering his part in the reunion & of course his part in the film The Wall where Comfortably Numb is 1 of the most famous scenes from the film.

Why Bob is reading words from paper? He is Pink from "The Wall", not a guy just passing by

He was never a fan of Pink Floyd before doing the movie and he wasn’t after either despite befriending the band members. Understandable he doesn’t know the words.

My theory as to why Roger has become such an A hole....He wanted to play the lead in THE WALL, the director said it would be better if they hired a professional actor, Instead they went with Bob Geldoff, who was not an actor, but just another singer (the Boomtown Rats)...... Roger never got over this and has been bitter ever since. Just my opinion.

Yucky yuck yuck blech!! This SAP has to read the lyrics from a piece of paper. I totally disliked his performance in the movie and now he's still "phoning it in" with this lackluster performance. The Boomtown Rats would've faded into obscurity and most people wouldn't even know who Bob Geldof was if he didn't accept the role of Pink in the movie, and very begrudgingly too I might add.On the flipside Ido like the song "I Don't Like Mondays. That's about it folks.
