I love this song, to me it is so evocative of a warm relaxing summer evening, I can imagine being outsider on the grass with my friends and family, watching the sun go down, while the birds are singing. I can almost smell the warm grass and dust and flowers and feel the breeze. There would be that moment when no one is talking, but not because no one has anything to say, but nothing needs to be said, we are comfortable and relaxed in our silence and the world around us.

Gilmour wouldn't have written the stairway solo Because gilmour knows how to play a REAL solo. Comfortably numb time money have a cigar echoes shine on fat old sun. The list goes on and on. Jimmys list is stairway. And stairway isnt that good of a solo.
