Hold up, not sure if it was intentional or not... Comfortably Numb is off of the Wall, not Dark Side of the Moon. You state that the tension in the band started in the mid-eighties...nope. The writing on the wall (pun intended) started preproduction during The Final Cut. Richard Wright was dismissed from the band, later coming back on salary but with no writing credits. Waters pushed the band to begin in studio, despite Gilmour not having any new material or allowing David time to work on material. The Final Cut is an extension of the Wall primarily written by Waters. Personally, The Final Cut is my least favorite Floyd album. Aside from Not Now John.(The best song on the album) Gilmour & Mason are basically side musicians. I consider Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell far superior albums to the Final Cut and anything Roger has down post Pink Floyd.

Thanks for the insights! You're absolutely right-Comfortably Numb is from The Wall, and the seeds of tension did start much earlier, especially around The Final Cut. That album really feels like Waters' solo vision, with Gilmour and Mason almost in supporting roles. It’s fascinating how much the dynamics within the band shaped the music. Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell are definitely incredible albums in their own right, bringing a different energy to the Pink Floyd legacy. Appreciate your perspective!

Comfortably was on The Wall, not Dark Side of the Moon!! 🙄

Only 7 years later right.... this must have been AI generated! Not real dialogue to me.

Haha, I promise it's real! Sometimes these stories feel so dramatic, they do seem scripted. Pink Floyd’s history is full of twists and turns-it could be its own soap opera! Glad you’re here to share in the discussion!

Good catch! You're absolutely right-'Comfortably Numb' is from The Wall, not Dark Side of the Moon. Thanks for pointing that out!

Perhaps do a little more research before talking about Pink Floyd in a "matter of fact"-way? Did you skim Wikipedia and then decide to wing it?

Appreciate the feedback! Pink Floyd's history is so rich and layered that there’s always more to learn. I’ll definitely dive deeper into their story for future videos to make sure I capture all the nuances. Thanks for keeping me on my toes-always great to hear from true fans!

This in AI generated video. The voices are AI. The video of them talking is obviously AI. It wouldn't surprise me if the script is AI.

The band in the picture on your thumbnail is not Pink Floyd

Roger Waters ego was brought back to earth after their split. Roger toured solo and his band mates were touring as Pink Floyd. There is great humility when Roger struggled to fill arenas and his band mates were packing stadiums. Brand identity does have value.

I don’t see how that unhinged antisemitic idiot was ever “brought back to earth”. Seems like he got even more bitter after things didn’t pan out for him.
@TuneRoots72 ай бұрын
Absolutely! The success of Gilmour and the rest of the band after the split really highlighted the power of brand identity. It’s amazing that Roger Waters found his own path, but it’s true that the aura of 'Pink Floyd' often transcends individual members. The strength of their music remains unmatched, no matter whose name is on the ticket!

Roger Waters’ personality and opinions have certainly sparked a lot of strong reactions over the years. His path has been complex and sometimes controversial, especially in the years since Pink Floyd’s split. It’s interesting how music and fame can amplify personal perspectives in ways that don’t always sit well with everyone.

Comfortably numb was actually on the wall

The solo on Comfortably Numb made "Dark Side of the Moon" a hit?!!! LMAO... this sounds like an AI generated dialogue using Wikipedia as a source. This is a fake and staged debate here... can tell neither person here has ever listened to anything Pink Floyd!

Ya I caught that too.

Haha, I totally get it! Sometimes these details can get twisted, especially with a band as iconic as Pink Floyd. Comfortably Numb is, of course, from The Wall, and each album has its own legendary tracks that contributed to their success. Thanks for calling it out-always happy to get insights from real Pink Floyd fans!"

Glad we’re on the same page! It’s easy to mix up details when discussing such a legendary band like Pink Floyd. Thanks for pointing that out!

Roger Waters now thinks he's some great political and social thinker and he should just stick to playing bass in one if the greatest bands ever
@TuneRoots72 ай бұрын
Roger Waters definitely has strong opinions, and they can be divisive. But it's interesting how his political and social views have always influenced his music and lyrics, even back in Pink Floyd's early days. It’s part of what makes him who he is, whether we agree with him or not!
