I thought the "S" in D-45S meant a slotted head? Perhaps it's something else with this one. Great sounding guitar nevertheless.
@utopisk3 жыл бұрын
Before the 1960’s the “S” stood for “Special Order”. The later meaning is “Standard”
@clayship3 жыл бұрын
Such a rare and amazing model, would really like to hear it without a capo.
@SillyMoustache3 жыл бұрын
1939 ? Ok. D-45 ? OK, D45-S ? Nah! The "S" stands for "standard" s in the original 12 fret dreadnought design and used for 12 fret dreads made after the "rhythm" style 14 fret Dread was introduced in 1934 C'mon! Carters should know this stuff! - OR - do you know otherwise ???
@utopisk3 жыл бұрын
The Martin history dictates that the “S” originally stood for “Special Order”. This D-45S from 1939 has a special order (nowadays called custom) top and back that are 16-1/4″ wide

Maybe something with chords? Cause while your playing is impeccable. This guitar is so much more fine than just flat picking nonstop.
