How can you make so long part drum? Can you change recorded drum sequences on the fly?
@jeroenwijering2 жыл бұрын
I use 2 tricks to make drum parts appear longer. First, set the clock to half speed and use 32nd division. That effectively gets you 8 instead of 4 bars. Second, use the volume know to fade in drum parts after a while. This can even be recorded with the sequencer.

Your covers are 100% absolutely superb. Some people attempt covers but not all succeed. What you have achieved is absolutely skill at its best. Please keep making these covers. This comment comes from a 70 year old synth fanatic. Jerome thanks . I am now a subscriber 🎹🎵🎶🎚🎚🎹🎹🎹🎹👍👍👍👍👍

So many covers ...how do you get it so right 😁? A "musical ear" ?

Nice, can you make a video how you produce a song
@jeroenwijering3 жыл бұрын
Oof that is a broad topic. What are you most interested in? I typically first look for a song with fun-to-play riffs, then create the lead sound, then the main pattern and then the overall song (3-6 patterns).

Don't have a tutorial, but you can download all my sounds for your JDXi in my "Community" section.

Can you please do public image ltd the order of death next? I just love that synth tone and I think the Jd-xi can reproduce it perfectly!
@jeroenwijering3 жыл бұрын
I'm current working on learning a new synth (Sys8), so no plans for more JDXi covers yet. However, that lead sound indeed seems very doable. Sounds like 2 sawtooth, detuned and with a lot of resonance. Maybe some white noise too. My trance covers from Paul van Dyk and Carlos use this sound for their plucks.

Hi there! Sounds very good! How and what part is doing this sweeping sound at around 0:30 before the program change? This is a very nice trick for a smooth change, thanks in advance for the info! :)
@jeroenwijering2 жыл бұрын
Yeah this works like a charm, using it a lot also in upcoming song ;-). It is just a drum sound set to noise, with a really slow filter envelope. In this song it is extra nice as the drum sound goes through the flanger effect. Also, there is a ton of delay on it since the JDXi repeats delays even after pattern changes or sequencer stops. Makes the transition smooth and hides any sounds that are abruptly cut off. I do this a lot with crash cymbals too.

@@jeroenwijering Hi, can I ask when you say it is a drum sound set to noise. Is that the white noise wavelength 424? or Can you set any drum sound to noise?
@nsera94622 жыл бұрын
Also, why are all the lights flashing at the start? Is the synth in favourites mode? Is it ready for a particular sequence? Thanks

Did you program those risers yourself or are they in the digital engine? Great job!
@jeroenwijering Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I built them using a noise drum sound, using a slow filter attack. And in this song the riser also goes through the flanger effect.
