I did my AFF course at Langar in 1988 with Dave Hickling, Dave Morris and Nick Everett. It was a great experience and all were very supportive and helpful. Dave H certainly made it more enjoyable with his dry sense of humour! Happy days! 👍

Great video Billy. Lovely to hear DTH talking about himself - something he didn’t tend to do that often in my experience. I started jumping at Langar in ‘85 on rounds, just about the time the Islander arrived on the scene. Dave always encouraged and supported me, and was a great inspiration to me over the years. Thank you Dave, you are a legend in UK skydiving and will be sadly missed.

R. I. P Dave. You were such a patience parson and it was a pleasure to get to see the real you, if only for a short time whilst I was in the sport. Thank you for the guidence. I'll miss those looks that told you, you messed up with I tiny side smile. A huge loss to the UK skydiving community. ❤

Did my AFF in 1991 at Langar. Dave Morris was my primary instructor and Dave Hickling my secondary. Failed one level, level 6, but passed AFF after 9 jumps. Did it out of the Islander they had and 1 level out of a Pilatus Porter. Great days.
