I remember watching David being interviewed and laughed at by Terry Wogan and his audience, decades ago. His weird views made him sound like a nut case back then. I have a lady friend in Scarborough who was one of Jimmy Saville's young victims. Her along with several others had to attend a Court hearing(early 2,000's) to go through the events that had taken place in the late 70's, early 80's involving J.S and his young victims. Each of the Court attendees were awarded £14k in damages for what they had had to endure at the hands of this man. And rightly so but nowhere near enough in my opinion as the effect it's had on all of their lives is never ending for most, their lives have been destroyed basically and left many dependent on alcohol or drugs as a result of what they were put through as young women. I remember Johnny Rotten trying to voice his concerns over Jimmy Saville and the outcome? The BBC banned Johnny Rotten from all their TV shows/broadcasts and kept Jimmy Saville on as a D.J. rather than risk a confrontation and the info made public. There were cover-ups everywhere and the BBC should hang their heads in shame.

And where did the other Savile siblings fit into this? 4) His brother Johnny Savile (died 1998) has been posthumously linked to a number of alleged r-word offences against adult women. Two brothers both accused of that sort of thing, huh? 5) His other siblings are nobodies. All we have is their names and none have even spoken about him or his life, at any point With all of that in mind, you have to wonder what the hell was going on in his childhood home? What was his childhood _really_ like? Why are his other siblings out of the picture? There has been suggestion he was abused and frankly that wouldn't surprise me.

He also used to walk around Roundhay Park (where he lived) with his minders back in the late 90's and early 2000's, stopping to watch the playground and skatepark and chat to youngsters like the disgusting old man he was. We didn't know the entent of his crimes until after he died, but it was well known to stay away from him.

Lydon did not out Jimmy Savile in 1978 nor was he banned from the BBC Lydon spoke of Savile in an interview for radio in 1978 that was never broadcast until after Savile's death. The interview from 1978 can be found here on KZbin (as can all other videos mentioned below) in which Lydon says he wants to kill 200 famous people including Mick Jagger and Savile. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Lydon was not banned from the BBC in 1978. He was banned from live interviews. He is on Juke Box Jury in 1979. TOTP in 1979 - Deaths Disco TOTP in 81 - Flowers of Romance Savile died on 29 Oct 2011. His crimes were exposed nearly a year later by the ITV Exposure programme broadcast on 3 Oct 2012. Lydon included the interview as a bonus track on re-release of the first album PiL in 2013
